This Privacy Policy explains how the Plango mobile app (“the app”, “we”) handles your information.

Plango is a place-first travel planning app. It is designed to work without an account. We do not sell your data, we do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not use tracking SDKs.

The following information is stored locally on your device:

Trips and trip stops Organize saved places by date and visit status
Profile name and photo Personalize the Settings screen
Language and appearance settings Remember your preferred app language and theme

Plango does not upload this local app data to an account.

3. Photos

When you choose photos for a custom place or profile, Plango uses the system photo picker. Selected photos remain associated with your local app data and are not uploaded by Plango.

You can revoke photo access at any time from your device settings.

4. External services

Plango downloads place information and images from its configured data service. Opening directions launches Google Maps in your browser or maps app. These services may process standard network information under their own privacy policies.

The app also uses Expo’s update service to deliver bug fixes and improvements. When the app checks for an update, Expo may receive standard technical information such as app version, runtime version, and platform. This does not include your saved places, custom places, trips, or profile details.

6. Deleting your data

You can remove favorites, custom places, and trips inside the app. Uninstalling Plango removes its remaining locally stored data from your device.

7. Children’s privacy

Plango is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because saved app data stays on the device, the app does not transmit children’s data to us.

8. Security

Because your app data is stored locally, its security is tied to the security of your device, including passcode, biometrics, and operating system protections. We recommend keeping your device software up to date.

If we change this policy, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will also be called out in the app’s release notes when appropriate.
